A 14-year-old boy arrested over the murder of a schoolgirl posted a macabre message on Snapchat from the back seat of a police car.

The 13-year-old cheerleader’s body was found in a remote wooded area on Monday, a day after she disappeared.

Later that night, Fucci posted a photo of himself doing the peace sign from the back seat of a police patrol car.
“Hey guys has inybody (sic) seen Tristyn lately,” he captioned the photo posted on Snapchat.
The St Johns County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is in its preliminary stages, but detectives have no other suspects.
The image will form part of the investigation.

The boy is currently in custody.
Tristyn and Fucci were both attending the same school but were a year apart from each other.
The local sheriff did not disclose if they knew each other aside from attending the same school.
“Our investigative team is out there interviewing all kinds of witnesses,” Sheriff Robert Hardwick told reporters.
“We have a suspect in custody. That is the only suspect that has to do with the death of Tristyn.”
He warned the public against rumours on social media as well as threats from grieving locals.
“Just because it’s on social media doesn’t mean it’s true,” Sheriff Hardwick said.
“We have the suspect in custody, and we cannot bring Tristyn back.”
Sheriff Hardwick did not rule out Fucci’s charges being upgraded to first degree murder
