Western Australia Police have created drink-spiking test kits for members of the community to use if they think something doesn’t feel right.
Residents can now go to any metro or regional police station to have access to the kits and be guided through the process by an officer.
If a test shows a positive result, the person tested can then decide if they would like to proceed with a criminal offence or seek support.

Detective Sergeant Kylie Johnson said she was really proud of the work they had done with the project.
“We worked really closely with our forensics division to make sure these kits were fit for purpose, we have worked with our legal side to make sure the evidentiary requirements are being met for what we do obtain,” said Johnson.
“I think it will make a very big difference out there for members of the community.”
Police warned the public to always keep their drink close and not to leave it unattended.
