Police uncover nearly $87m worth of ice in major NSW drug bust

Two men have today been charged and nearly $87 million worth of “ice” seized as part of major drug bust on the NSW Central Coast.
A 40-year-old Woy Woy man was arrested after police stopped and searched his van at Kingswood about 3.20pm yesterday.
A search of the man’s Toyota Hi Ace revealed three large plastic tubs containing 41 kilograms of methylamphetamine, also known as ice.

Police also seized nearly $300,000 cash, mobile phones and designer watches. (NSW Police Force)
Police arrested 28-year-old Kingswood shortly after during a separate vehicle stop where police seized mobile phones and other electronic devices.
Detectives and AFP officers executed two search warrants at homes at Kingswood and Woy Woy where 13 large tubs containing 248 kilograms of ice were found.
Police also seized nearly $300,000 cash, mobile phones and designer watches.
In total, officers seized a combined 289 kilograms of ice with an estimated potential street value of $86.7 million.

Both men were taken to St Marys Police Station and charged with drug-related offences including supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity).
Both men were refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
