Melbourne police officer injured in hit-and-run on school grounds
A police officer has been hospitalised after a hit-and-run in Melbourne’s south-east overnight.
Police said the officer was responding to an alarm at a school on Eel Race Road in Seaford at around 3am when the vehicle, which was driving in the school grounds, struck the officer.
The driver then fled the scene.
The female officer was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are now searching for the driver of a white ute with a silver tray.
