Queensland Government extends holiday dollars program to Gold Coast
The Queensland Government has announced it will be expanding its Holiday Dollars Voucher Campaign to one of the country’s most prominent tourist destinations – the Gold Coast.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the program’s expansion this morning on social media, revealing that over 30,000 travel vouchers worth $100 will be up for grabs for the coast from Monday.
The vouchers can be redeemed on select accommodation and experiences in partnership with Destination Gold Coast.
The Holiday Dollars Program was initially launched in March, offering $200 travel vouchers to areas around Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.
The most recent campaign stage saw Brisbane receive $3 million Holiday Dollars from the program, with more than 100,000 people applying for the 30,000 vouchers offered.
“From Monday 7 June, Queenslanders have 72 hours to enter the draw to win one of 30,000 travel vouchers worth $100 each,” Ms Palaszczuk tweeted.
From Monday, Queenslanders will have 72 hours to apply, with voucher recipients randomly selected and notified from June 16.
Lucky winners will have just over a month to use their vouchers to book their Gold Coast holiday, with them due to travel by September 17.
