NSW records five new COVID-19 cases with more people linked to Northern Beaches cluster
New South Wales has recorded five new cases of locally acquired COVID-19 over the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, four remain under investigation.
Two of local cases were announced yesterday, including a man who tested positive after visiting Mount Druitt Hospital in Sydney’s west and his household contact.
Health authorities are still conducting genome testing for the man who tested positive in Mount Druitt to determine where he may have contracted the virus.
There have been an additional two cases in the Northern Beaches and one more case linked directly to the Berala cluster.
The case linked to the Berala cluster has been identified as a woman in her 40s, who is a known close contact of another case.
