Child dies after being hit by car in Melbourne’s west
A child has died after being hit by a car in Melbourne’s west overnight.
The four-year-old girl was hit by a car at the intersection of Derrimut and Heaths Road in Hoppers Crossing around 9.15pm yesterday, according to police.
She was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died.
The 20-year-old Werribee man who was driving the car stopped at the crash scene and is speaking with police.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined.
