Young toddler in serious condition after nearly drowning in NSW creek
A young toddler is in a serious condition after nearly drowning in a creek in the New South Wales northern tablelands.
A man and a woman saw a three-year-old boy in a creek in Tingha, about 25km east of Inverell, about 5.30pm yesterday.
The pair pulled the toddler from the water and started doing CPR.
NSW Ambulance paramedics and police officers arrived at the scene and took the young boy to Inverell Base Hospital.
He was then airlifted to Gold Coast Hospital in a serious condition.
