Australian cricketers released from two-week quarantine after return from India
Dozens of Australian cricketers and staff have this morning been released from hotel quarantine, two weeks after arriving home from India.
There were emotional reunions as players were greeted by family and loved ones as they exited their Sydney hotel.
“It’s nice to have some fresh air, that’s for sure,” fast bowler Jason Behrendorff told reporters.
“It wasn’t too bad, I tried to have a routine to make sure I was keeping myself busy and active, knowing we have some things coming up to prepare for.”
Pat Cummins was greeted by his fiancee Becky Boston, the pair embracing for the first time in over a month after Australians playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) became stranded in the COVID-stricken country amid an explosion in case numbers.
