Off-contract NRL player Jamil Hopoate on serious drug charge
Off-contract NRL player Jamil Hopoate has been arrested on a serious drug charge.
The 26-year-old is in custody after being refused bail by police earlier today.
The son of former footballer John Hopoate is facing one count of supplying a prohibited drug.
He will spend the night behind bars and appear in Central Local Court tomorrow.
Jamil Hopoate left the Broncos last year and hasn’t yet signed with another club.
