Multiple states to swelter through stifling conditions in heatwave

Sydney is set for its hottest day of the year so far as multiple states swelter through heatwave conditions with stifling temperatures expected to continue over the coming days.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicted temperatures to reach 50 degrees in parts of Western Australia, while areas of New South Wales and South Australia are expected to nudge into the mid-40s.
Sydney, while not as hot, is predicted to reach the mid-30s, which would make it the city’s hottest day of the year so far, beating the 30.8 degrees a week and a half ago.
