Young child missing in floodwaters after four others rescued in NSW Central West

A frantic search is underway for a young child missing in floodwaters in the New South Wales Central West.
Emergency services arrived at Tullamore, near Parkes, just before 8pm on Friday night after two cars had become trapped in floodwaters.
Four people were found clinging to trees as floodwaters surged around them.

The four rescued people were taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment.
“The two vehicles remain submerged in floodwaters and police will remain onsite and wait until they can access the vehicles,” police said in a statement.
It comes as parts of northern and western NSW have been inundated by floodwaters for the fourth time this year with roads swallowed by water and multiple rescues carried out.
