The Sydney winner hadn’t registered their ticket, so doesn’t yet know the life-changing news.
They bought their ticket at Winston Hills Newsagency.
Newsagency worker Barbara Veitch said she was “so excited” to hear the business had sold a winning ticket.
“We would love to know who our winner is,” she said.
“I certainly hope they come forward soon.”
The Lott spokeswoman Lauren Cooney said people in the area should check their tickets.
“It’s likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve just won $1.1 million,” she said.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Winston Hills Newsagency to check their tickets today.
“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve just won $1.1 million.
“Your plans for the rest of the year could certainly change with those extra digits in your bank account.”
The winning numbers for April 17 were 5, 33, 17, 13, 44 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 35.
