Queensland, NSW and Victoria record drop in

Queensland, NSW and Victoria record drop in COVID-19 cases

Queensland has also reported a drop in daily COVID-19 cases, but has recorded six further deaths linked to the virus.
There were 9435 new cases recorded in the Sunshine State overnight, a decrease from yesterday’s 10,722 infections.
Currently, 422 people are in hospital with the virus, 15 of those in the intensive care unit.

Both hospitalisations and ICU admissions have increased since yesterday.
Further south, both New South Wales and Victoria found daily case numbers on the decline.
Thirteen people in NSW died with COVID-19 in the last 24 hour reporting period.
There were 20,389 new COVID-19 cases overnight.
That’s a decrease from yesterday’s 25,495 infections.

The state reported 1302 people are hospitalised with the virus and 47 admitted to intensive care.
This is a drop from yesterday’s 1345 hospitalisations but a rise in ICU admissions from 43.

Victoria

Victoria has reported three COVID-19 related deaths.
There were 9149 new cases in the past 24 hours, a drop from yesterday’s 10,424 infections.

The state reported that 306 people are hospitalised with COVID-19 and 15 people in ICU.
This is also a drop in comparison to yesterday’s 310 hospitalisations but a rise in ICU admissions from 12.

South Australia

South Australia has recorded 4483 new cases of coronavirus from 14,886 tests.
Two more people have died with the virus overnight.
There are 33,995 active cases in the state.
There are 184 people with the virus in hospital, two of which are in intensive care.
None are ventilated.
